To German establishment, there never was a ‘hour zero’. Germany is on a straight path towards domination over Europe since Napoleon’s defeat and the Vienna congress which both took place exactly two hundred years before today, and all post 2nd world war diplomatic and political efforts of German governments were and are exclusively focused on re-establishing, though ‘clandestinely’, German hegemony over the continent, machinated and pushed ahead with a cunningness only matched by that where with on the other hand the Greek nation for almost the same period of time has been trying to maintain its sovereignty as modern national state albeit lacking almost all presuppositions to that.
From this point of view – and not merely from this -, modern European history is indeed the hidden history of a Giants fight between Greece and Germany.
